FREDERIKSGADE 1 is Copenhagen's most beautiful design house, located by the Marble Church.
The house is owned by the Holger Kvist Foundation, and the foundation's purpose for the house is to create a united marketing platform, an international window where a large variety of Danish design is showcased.
Together we represent some of the best in Danish design. The range is wide; in addition to the established design companies who present classic design furniture by Hans J. Wegner, Finn Juhl and Nanna Ditzel, FG1 is also the place where design-creative companies work and create a unique synergy between each other.
Via the Holger Kvist Foundation, which supports Danish design and handicraft, young design talents will also have a place in FG1. We are working hard to create areas, where up-coming design talents periodically can get a special place in the house with some of the best Danish designers and craftsmen in the areas of, for example, glass, ceramics and textile.
We host joint events in the house yearly and present the best of Danish design. Together we market FREDERIKSGADE 1 with the goal of attracting relevant national and international professionals, institutions and ordinarily design-interested people.
The vision for FREDERIKSGADE 1 is to become nationally and internationally known as one of Denmark's leading design houses – a house that will function as an international window to the world, and where each company, separately but also with the other exhibitors of the house, is able to show exciting Danish/Nordic art and design through a range of quality products in furniture, interior, handicrafts, graphic design, photography and other art forms.
